hi i am a collector and occasional seller of several types of media products, mostly stuff from the late 70s and early 80s relating to arcade culture, star wars, or some of the popular tv shows of the time such as the dukes.
i am trying to find a value for the blue/yellow watch and have searched the internet with no luck until i found the blogspot entry (http://dukescollector.blogspot.ca/2012/11/new-dukes-stuff-1162012-boss-hogg-shirt.html) while doing searches for information on dukes toy watches.
i recently came across the same watch from the webmaster's blog page, the one with the yellow strap and the blue time piece. i'm trying to determine a monetary or trade value but haven't seen any others until i found yours while doing a large scale search.
lately i have been selling a lot of stuff and pulling items from storage that have literally been in boxes for 15-20 and going on 30 years. when i came across the watch i was surprised i still even had it. i don't even know for a fact that i want to let it go but would like to know it's cash value.
assuming the condition was very good to excellent do you know the value of the same blue/yellow watch if it were to have no packaging? i probably got mine sometime around 1981 or 1982 and it's definately been played with but is still intact.
i hope you can help me, i'm considering selling or trading it at some point and don't know what exactly i have here. i am generally pretty good with putting a fair value on some of these kinds of things but this particular item i have no idea plus or minus. it is sentimental to me and have owned it since about 6 years old so if i do part with it i would like to know what to expect if another collector was to make me an offer. a couple of collectors i know have already eyeballed it and pursuading me to toss them a number but i have told them i have no idea what this is worth.
you have an awesome dukes collection and site, i had some of this stuff and wish i didn't wear some of it out while playing with it because some of it is not easy to find no matter how much you are willing to pay. i still miss my near mint condition dukes boardgame that my ex wife stole from me.
i hope you can help. i am not a robot, i just surfed on like the old days of internet. anyone rememeber those days?
